Hospitality consulting firm, CIR | VIS has recently announced in January that former Mediacorp DJ, Glenn Ong, has joined the company as a director. The radio icon will be serving as an advisor for events and entertainment management.
Formed in early 2014, CIR | VIS is a Food & Beverage (F&B) and hospitality consulting firm serving Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Multi National Companies (MNCs) located in Singapore, Greater Asia, Middle East and Europe.
As an influential and recognisable personality with over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Glenn Ong’s new position will allow him to provide unique insights regarding the standards and business opportunities within the events & management sectors, as well as managing regional relationships.
“I am excited to be part of a company that recognises the true potential of Singapore as a driving force in the worldwide service industries. I believe that it is my turn to give back to Singapore by channeling my focus to being an active voice for this cause and making a difference,” says Glenn.
Using his knowledge garnered from extensive experiences in the media and communications industry, such as hosting the Morning Express on local radio station Class 95FM and carrying off roles in television media and events, he aims to elevate Singapore’s hospitality standards into international benchmarks.
States Chris Glaessel, Founder and Managing Director of CIR | VIS: “Glenn’s advisory role as Director within our team is designed to inject innovative levels of personality, energy and Singapore’s DNA into events, hospitality concepts and guest experiences throughout the island and the region, ultimately driving the Singapore brand to the global stage and making “Singapore Hospitality” a universally recognised quality symbol across hospitality sectors.”
Besides Singapore based projects, CIR | VIS is developing concepts and the operating philosophy for projects such as an island resort in Indonesia, a mixed-use hospitality project in Dubai, and a Southeast Asian dining concept in Central Europe. These ventures have established an international footprint for the company, enabling them to showcase Singapore’s standards on a global level.
In support of Glenn’s new chapter, Chris adds: “We look forward to integrating Glenn into our culture to nurture his genuine desires to elevate the Singapore service experience… With his new calling, Glenn, the team and I believe that we can truly make a dent in the hospitality universe.”
