Equal launches new look and introduces Equal Gold and Equal Sugar Blend

New product offerings to satisfy your sweet tooth and keep your health in check

Equal strengthens its market leadership of tabletop sweeteners with its two new product innovations, Equal Gold and Equal Sugar Blend. The company also launches its rebranding with a contemporary look, a new streamlined logo, and new packaging for the whole range as part of its global strategy.

Equal Gold is a zero calorie sweetener with a crunchy granular texture that delivers in terms of flavor, giving a sugar-like sweetness and consistency. The product is made from sucralose, a high quality sweetener that is derived from sugar. Packaged into stick sachets for added convenience, each sachet is equivalent to 2 teaspoons of sugar. Its excellent heat stability and quick soluble formula makes it easy to incorporate into everyday recipes, and a versatile accompaniment to enhance flavourings and the sweetness in food, such as pie fillings, bread or for sprinkling on top of fruits and desserts. Equal Gold is an ideal product for those who are weight and health conscious seeking to control their calorie intake and is also suitable for diabetics as it does not raise blood glucose or insulin levels.

Equal Sugar Blend is a fine granulated sweetener and is designed to be used primarily for baking. A mixture of sugar and sucralose sweetener, it offers half the calories and only half the amount is needed for the same sweetness level as sugar. Equal Sugar Blend is the most affordable line of sweeteners introduced by Equal and is aimed at consumers who are cost conscious and wish to reduce their sugar intake without comprising on taste.

At the launch event on Friday, 23 October 2015, local celebrity Bobby Tonelli will be present to share his personal experience using Equal, alongside nutritionist and dietitian, Hyumi Wong, who will provide tips on maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle. In addition, there will also be an afternoon tea party with delectable sweet treats created by Chef Sinclair Wong from adapted recipes using Equal Gold and Equal Sugar Blend.

Equal Gold will be available in Singapore at the end of 2015, each box contains 50 stick sachets and is priced at $5.95.
