Alila Villas Soori Announces New Executive Chef

Bali-based luxury villa resort, Alila Villas Soori, has announced the appointment of Fernando Trump as their new Executive Chef. He will be overseeing the hotel’s two signature restaurants, Cotta and Ombak, which specialise in authentic Indonesian cuisine and European dishes respectively.
Fernando has previously held the position of Executive Chef at fine dining establishment, L’Occhio Di Stile, in Budapest, Hungary. He began his culinary journey in his home country, Argentina, where he was posted to notable restaurants such as the Philippe Starck-designed El Bistro restaurant at Faena Hotel & Universe and the 647 Dinner Club. In 2008, he travelled to France and Switzerland to further his European cooking techniques.
His experiences include working at the Michelin-starred L’Atelier Paris Saint Germain by Joel Robuchon, and Mirazur, an eatery ranked number 11 in ‘The World’s 50 Best Restaurants’ as voted by The Diners Club® World's 50 Best Restaurants Academy. Two years later, and just prior to his stint in Budapest, he was working at the Atmosphere restaurant situated on the top of Dubai’s Burj Khalifa – a skyscraper renowned for being the tallest building in the world.
